Limehouse School Crest

The Senior School Curriculum

Lime House School is committed to providing a rigorous academic and intellectual education which will challenge and engage pupils, offer continuity and progression of learning to foster a life-long love of learning for its own sake and provide them with a secure foundation on which to continue into Higher Education and into the careers of their choice.

The senior school years from age 11-18+ are crucial in laying the foundations for later, more specialised study and form a vital bridge between primary school learning and the GCSE courses started in Year 10.

Children from Year 7 upwards are taught by specialist teachers, whose expert knowledge and superb teaching skills combine to instil a love of learning across a wide range of subjects. All pupils receive a broad introductory curriculum which gives them experience in all areas of learning. In addition to Mathematics, English and Science they study

  • History
  • Geography
  • German
  • Citizenship
  • Drama
  • Religious Studies
  • Home Economics
  • Art
  • Music
  • CDT
  • ICT
  • PE and Games

Our senior school curriculum largely follows the programmes of study laid out in the UK National Curriculum.
