Limehouse School Crest

Accommodation & Meals

Boys and girls are housed in separate areas of the school in newly refurbished study bedrooms, normally shared between 2-4 pupils.

There are five distinct boarding ‘areas’, four for boys located in the main school building  – Rothley, Hawksdale, Lonsdale and Salkeld – and one for girls in an adjacent building – The Cottage.  Each area is supervised by a House Mother who is on duty every night from 5.30pm to 9.00am and who has responsibility for the students in her care.

The House Mothers report to the Head of Boarding, Ms Jackie Fisher, who is supported by the Head of Pastoral Care Mrs Donna Alderman and the Senior Mistress Mrs Rice.

Students are encouraged to personalise their own space and there are communal areas where students can relax in the evenings and at weekends. Other areas of the school such as the sports hall and art and computer rooms are popular for meeting up to play games, catch up on homework or just chat and relax.

Meals are served in a central dining room. Food is freshly prepared on the premises and there is always a wide choice available. Special diets can be catered for.
